Question: Why don’t you answer the phone when I call?

Answer: We may be giving a dog a spaw treatment and our hands are wet…  Or we are blow drying a pet a cannot hear on the phone properly…  Please leave a message and we will return your call as quickly as we can.  Thank you for your patience

Question: Do you pluck ear hair out?

Answer: We only do it upon request.  It is very painful for the dogs, such as maltese, poodles, yorkies etc, to have their ear hair pulled out.  And mother nature grows it back just as fast as we pull it out.  – In about a week.  It is the owners decision to have this procedure done.  Please note that your dog may shake their head after this is done because it really irritates the ear canal.

Please note every dogs ears are cleaned with each

Question: Do you give my pet water to drink?

Answer:  Yes we do offer water to your dog.  Most dogs, even our own dogs, do not drink water from an unfamiliar container or bowl.  Therefore they will most likely be very thirsty when they get home.  When we groom our own dogs they go straight to the water bowl when they get home too…

Question: What type of shampoo do you use?

Answer: We use only top of the line shampoos and conditioners. All of our shampoos are hypoallergenic and made with only the best ingredients. Some examples of the brands we use are Natures Specialties, Envirogroom, and Natures Choice.

Question: Our dog came in for a flea bath and is still itchy?

Answer: Yes. Even though we took care of the fleas, your dog will still be itchy. Flea bites, just like mosquito bites, are very itchy and can be so for approximately 7 days afterwards. Remember each flea on your dog feeds at least 10 times a day. So just think how many bites that would be… It is a very irritating condition for your pet.

Question: Why are my dog’s nails so sharp after they get their nails done?

Answer: Please let us know if your dog’s nails are sharp after grooming. We always try to use a nail file or a grinder after we trim their nails. Most dogs do not like their feet held for very long, so we do the best we can. You can help us at home by teaching them to have their nails filled with a nail file. Always give them a treat after you file their nails at home, so it is a positive experience for them. If you work together with us we can teach your dog to like having their nails and feet touched.
